Bring Your Library With You

One of the hardest parts of switching to a new tool is moving your old data. You likely have hundreds of useful links trapped in your browser's "Favorites" bar where you can't easily search or share them.

Kitly makes this easy with our Smart Import Wizard. We support the standard HTML format used by all major browsers, as well as CSV and Excel files.

Step 1: Export from your Browser

First, you need to save your current bookmarks as a file on your computer.

  • Google Chrome: Click the three dots menu → Bookmarks and listsBookmark Manager. Click the three dots in the top right of the manager page and select Export bookmarks.
  • Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl+Shift+O to open Favorites. Click the three dots icon → Export favorites.
  • Firefox: Open the Library window. Click the "Import and Backup" toolbar button → Export Bookmarks to HTML...

Step 2: Upload to Kitly

  1. Open the Link Saver app.
  2. Look for the Import button (next to the green "Add" button).
  3. Select the HTML file you just saved from your browser.

Step 3: Review and Select

We know that browser bookmarks can get messy. Kitly won't just dump everything into your account blindly.

Our Import Wizard will scan the file and present you with a checklist. You can:

  • Review: See exactly which links were found.
  • Select: Uncheck any old or broken links you don't want to keep.
  • Clean: We automatically duplicate-check against your existing kit, so you won't save the same link twice.

Click "Save to My Kit" and you are done! Your browser history is now a searchable, secure cloud library.
