Platform Update: SQL Server Migration, Tool Fixes & UI Polish
Under the Hood & On the Surface
Today's release brings a significant infrastructure upgrade alongside a focused round of tool improvements and UI refinements across the platform.
1. Database Infrastructure Upgrade
Kitly has migrated to a more robust database backend, improving platform reliability, performance, and scalability for future growth.
2. JWT Toolkit — Verification Overhaul
The JWT Toolkit has been significantly improved. Decoding is now more reliable across all token types, and signature verification now supports a much wider range of algorithms beyond the previous single-algorithm limitation.
3. Mermaid Live Editor — Preview Fix
Resolved a rendering issue where diagrams were not displaying correctly in the preview pane. Pan and zoom behaviour has also been stabilised.
4. Markdown Viewer — PDF Export
PDF exports are now significantly cleaner for long documents. Page breaks, diagram scaling, and content flow have all been improved for a more professional print output.
5. Community Links — Add to Kit
Resolved an issue where the Add to Kit button on the Community Links page was not working as expected.
6. UI & Layout Polish
- Home page tool cards are now colour-coded consistently by category.
- All pages now follow the site-wide layout width for a more consistent experience.
- Pinned tools in the header can now be removed directly via a right-click context menu.
- Minor badge alignment fix on the Community Links page.
